Ingredients
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup protein powder (flavor of your choice)
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
1. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix together the oats, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, protein powder, and chia seeds.
2. Add Wet Ingredients
Add the peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup) to the dry ingredients. If you'd like, you can also add vanilla extract for extra flavor.
3. Mix Thoroughly
Using a spatula or your hands, mix all the ingredients until well combined. The mixture should be sticky and easily moldable.
4. Form Balls
Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls using your hands. If the mixture is too sticky, you can wet your hands slightly to make the rolling process easier.
5. Chill
Place the formed balls on a parchment paper-lined tray or plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
6. Store
Once the protein balls are firm, transfer them to an airtight container. Store them in the refrigerator for freshness. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
7. Enjoy
